Head Coach: Trent Dalton

Players to watch: Ben Schechterman, 2023, 16, OF/LHP– Nate Fletcher, 2024, TBD, LHP– Nathan Balkissoon

Season outlook: We lost some key guys from 2022 season, but have high expectations for their replacements. Defense and pitching will be strong and we look to build off of our strong offense we had a year ago.

Players to watch: Cam Vessels, Senior, #23, catcher– Carter Macko, Senior, #1, shortstop– Brennen Watson, Junior, #25, outfield

Season outlook: Barberton will look to compete for a Suburban League title after a strong showing in 2022. The Magics will rely on experienced junior and senior classes along with a talented group of underclassmen, who will make an immediate impact.

Players to watch: Logan Poole, Senior #5 RHP/IF– Donovan Daetwyler, Senior #4 RHP/SS– Mikey Haney III, Senior #13 LF/C

Season outlook: There are zero days off in the Suburban League. Lots of talented teams matched with outstanding coaching. We expect every team to be a challenge including returning League Champions Aurora.

Players to watch: Seth Yacobucci Senior #20 C/P/SS– Beau Gromley Senior #13 1B/P– Eric Prior Senior #3 RF/3B

Season outlook: We have 5/6 starters back 2 of our top 4 pitchers back from last years team that went 18-9 finished 2nd in Suburban(American) to Aurora and lost in District Title game 2nd straight year. Players returning are hungry to win the league and get back into the Sweet 16.Our team is mostly all Seniors and Juniors with some talented Sophomores ready to contribute.

National Conference

Head Coach: Mark Hassinger

Players to watch: Matt Mihalek (SR,4,RHP)– Luke Reasor (JR, 10, LHP, 1B,OF)– David Zambounis (JR, 22, OF, LHP)

Season outlook: We are led by a very competitive SR class. We have a very solid pitching rotation that has experience. Our JR class is very talented that will help us thruout the year in big spots. We have some young guys that are first year varsity players that will get the foundation built this year and experience what it takes to compete in this conference. As a program we are coming off a great offseason where everyone top to bottom has bought in and are ready to get after it.

Players to watch: Jake Affeldt, #10 RHP– Jackson Eells, #5 1B– Chris Maurer, #4 RHP, 3B, DH

Season outlook: Hudson looks to return #BACK2basics in 2023 with 14 seniors and a dozen of returning letterwinners. Several college commits include: Kade Keown (Denison University) Sam Scharville (Roanoke College) John Poole (Heidelberg) Preston Surace (Central Maine) Chris Maurer (Mt. Union) Jackson Eells (John Carrol) Brock Bivens (Tri C) and Ty Dennison & Jack Britton have not yet committed.

Players to watch: Trent Alvord (JR, 2B)– Kyan Freyhauf (JR, CF)– Hunter Grams (SR, P)

Season outlook: This year’s group has returned with a different level of drive and I’m excited to see this team get out there and compete against the best of our league and this region. I think this group’s approach to the offseason was centered around growth, determination, and the desire to change this program’s path going forward. Our guys have come back focused and there is a different energy around the program for this 2023 season.

Season outlook: We are extremely excited to get the year started. We feel that our starting pitching is one of the best in the area, and our new players are excited to show off their talents.

Players to watch: Nick Sackett, 28, SS– Reed Sackett, 1, CF– Joey Lehner, TBD, 2B

Season outlook: This year we bring back an experienced group of guys eager to compete for a chance at a league title. With 15 seniors our expectations are high and we believe our leaderships on field presence will give us a chance to compete everyday.

Players to watch: Ernie Phillips, 23, #1, shortstop, pitcher– Kyan Barnes, 23, #16, third base, pitcher– Jayden Dye, 24, #13, outfield

Season outlook: We are excited to get the season underway. We have a good mix of seniors and underclassmen.We are looking forward competing in the strong Suburban League.

Players to watch: Aaron Keating, (Sr, 13, CF)– Kyle Figuray (JR. 15, SS/P)– Daniel Hall (Sr. 8, C)

Season outlook: This group has worked extremely hard this off-season. We have seen great physical improvements since last year. We return a nice core from our lineup from a year ago. We have experience returning at almost every position. While some guys will be in different roles defensively this year, our lineup will have a lot of the same names in it. We lost two really good pitchers from a year ago, but feel we will once again have a very strong pitching staff. I feel we are in a good position to compete for another league title. Our staff is excited for another very competitive season in the Suburban League National Division!
