2022 Boys Soccer Season Preview
American Conference
Head Coach: Ryan Conner
Season outlook: We have 10 returning letter winners. We have 6 players with varsity starting experience. We have 7 seniors. Our players have worked very hard this off-season to get ready for this fall season
Head Coach: Rob Gardner
Players to watch: Jason Navarrette, Sophomore, GK– Richard Sutton #2 JR Central Midfielder– Cory Martin #15 JR Central Midfielder
Season outlook: As this is my second year as head coach I feel we are better this year. We are a young team and will continue the rebuilding process. Looking forward to the season.
Head Coach: David Antal
Players to watch: Colin Link, Sr. forward– Matthew Luecke, Jr. forward– Calvin Cunat, Sr. defender
Season outlook: Copley is looking to bounce back after a year marred by injury. Per their usual, they start out the season Aug 20 against perenal state powerhouse Medina.
Head Coach: David Ortopan
Players to watch: Noah Adkins Sophomore, Forward/CM– Jared Davidson ( Junior, CDM/CM)– Danny Cunningham (Junior, Center Back)
Season outlook: We are a young and hungry team with potential for a high ceiling even with a new faces having to step up to replace our seniors. We expect to compete and take a step forward this year.
Head Coach: Chris Schaefer
Players to watch: 13, Senior, Midfield– 4, Senior, Forward– 6, Senior, Forward
Season outlook: Focus, Creativity, The Will to Win and Fitness are front and center for Highland Men’s Soccer this year. Hard work, camaraderie and loving the game are the primary focus.
Head Coach: Nick DePompei
Players to watch: AJ Catlett, sophomore, Forward– Ryan Novak, Senior, Forward– Jaden Yankovitz, Senior, Midfielder
Season outlook: The Minutemen bring back a Senior heavy class this year and look to continue the program expectations of playing amongst the best teams in the State.
Head Coach: Garyn Daniels
Players to watch: Alex Horak, 8, Senior, Forward– Amir Spratt, 11, Junior, Forward– Daniel Hido, 13, Senior, Defender
Season outlook: Our team is very young coming off a season where we lost 19 seniors. With that being said, we have some dynamics young players ready to contribute along with some strong upperclassmen. We are very much looking to the tough schedule we have built for ourselves this season.

Season outlook: High expectations with a strong core of returning players with varsity experience.

Season outlook: After graduating 14 seniors we will be a young team. The season will ride on how fast we can come together.

Players to watch: Jimmy Zeilmann (23, Sr., CM)– Luka Sunjevaric (11, Jr., F)– Yevhen Bulchak (2, Jr., D)
Season outlook: With many returning, the team is looking to rebound after last season. New underclassmen will look to help push a senior led team.

Players to watch: Carson Boyd, 21, 11th, midfielder– Reece Raymond-Smith, 22, 11th, midfielder– Keith McNary, 12th, defender
Season outlook: The strength of our team will be our defense and central midfielders. The Bulldogs graduated 14 seniors and have a large class of juniors ready to fill their shoes.

Season outlook: The suburban League is always tough with quality players and experienced coaches. Should be a challenging campaign.

Players to watch: Jackson Herbert, #20, Senior, Midfielder, returning All-Ohio and University of Akron soccer commit.– Alex Innocenti, #2, Junior, Midfield– Tanner Sir Louis, #3, Junior, Defender
Season outlook: The 2022 season is not going to be the rebuilding season some may think. The players within our starting 11 have varsity experience and had to simply wait behind a large senior class. The return of 2 dynamic attack players, Jackson Herbert and Alex Innocenti, will always give us an opportunity to score. Tanner Sir Louis is going lead a defense that is big and fast.
