2024 Girls Track/Field Season Preview
American Conference
Head Coach: Greg Cicero
Players to watch: Eva Logan, Senior, Mid Distance– Kassidy Fry, Senior, Hurdles/High Jump– Sydney Langell, Junior, Distance
Season outlook: Our young team gained a lot of experience last year and are ready to compete in the Suburban League. The Sophomore group of Izzy Leindecker, Amelia Kilway, Abby Rogonjic, and Ella Cicero gained some valuable experience at the regional meet and have high expectations. Field events will be important as our season progresses.

Players to watch: Hannah Swanson, Junior – Middle Distance/Distance– Shelby Mainarick, Senior – 300m Hurdles– Lilly Tyler, Junior – Mid Distance
Season outlook: We have a small but strong group of returners leading our team this season along with a big group of freshman that are ready and determined to make their mark. It is looking to be a fun season full of growth and breakthroughs!

Players to watch: Aleni Bender, Senior, 200, 400, 800, 1600 , 4 x 400, 4 x 800– Leah Valentine, Senior, 100, 200, 400, 4 x 100, 4 x 200, 4 x 400– Ellie Meech, Senior, 800, 1600, 3200, 4 x 800
Season outlook: This year’s team returns a strong group of leaders from last season. With the team seeing a great turnout of young energetic athletes, we will rely heavily on the experience of our returning team members to guide us. This group has a great mix of talent, work ethic, and chemistry that should allow us to compete at the highest levels within the Suburban League, District and beyond.

Season outlook: We have a young but talented team and I am excited to see what they can do! They have been working really hard so far this year and I am really proud of these girls!

Season outlook: Many returning athletes. Kate Archer returning league champion in the pole vault. All-Ohio 2023. Looking for good things from the incoming freshmen.

Players to watch: Mari Pizem, Senior, Distance– Maria Kriachko, Senior, Thrower– Lillie Cain, Sophomore, Sprinter
Season outlook: We are fortunate to have a lot of returning talent back this year. After last season, goals have been set for this year, and both the veteran team members along with the new members are putting in the work to reach those goals.

Players to watch: Ruby Jacops, senior, 800– Ellie Miele, junior, sprinter– Katie Will, sophomore, distance
Season outlook: We look forward to having the best season possible and to being healthy and happy.

Season outlook: This is a younger team with some talented athletes in the sprints, distance and field events. Many newcomers who can contribute as the season progresses forward.

Players to watch: Mackenzie Blackford (12, Sprints / Hurdles)– Nia Booker (12th, Sprints)– Camryn Cayne (10th, Distance)
Season outlook: Being our first year in the Suburban League, we are looking to increase the competitiveness of an already high quality league. We look forward to competing to the best or our ability, getting better every week and making a push for a league title.
